Throughout the time we waited for word on loved ones a few individuals who were able to be on the ground in Haiti were instrumental in providing family members with up to date information on the SAR at the hotel.
Among them are:
Gretchen Wallace - Founder of Global Grassroots, conscious social change devotee, anti-genocide activist, advocate for vulnerable women in Africa who kept us informed via twitter and families informed via email.

Andrew Wallace - Gretchen's partner who worked with SAR
Big Kenny - http://bigkenny.tv/crywithyou/ for working with SAR helping to recover bodies. He went to Haiti to help find his friend, Walt Ratterman but helped other families find closure. He also did humanitarian work while in Haiti. When he returned to the USA he wrote a beautiful song about his experiences.
Anderson Cooper -CNN.com for his sensitive and thorough coverage of the Haiti earthquake including his coverage on Hotel Montana.
Eric Nyman - Chrystel Cancel's fiance who was at Hotel Montana days after the earthquake helping SAR, and remaining after his fiance's body was recovered, helping to recover others.
Col. Crinton - USA for his promise to not stop SAR until all bodies were recovered.
Kenyon International - For mediating with families from all countries to get information into the database so that all would be recovered.
